Hi all,

My girlfriend and I are moving to the Springs in August/September for school. I'll be attending UCCS for about a year. Any advice would be appreciated regarding housing (i.e. neighborhoods to avoid, ones to look at). If anyone's got some spare space for somewhat cheap, I'm also interested. We'll also be looking for partners and what not, so if anyone's psyched hit me back too. Thanks a bunch for any advice.

Hey Kevin,
You'll get some varied opinions, but there are decent areas to live anywhere west of I-25. A lot of climbers like Manitou due to easy access to the hills, but it's not for everyone. Also not that close to UCCS. You may want to see if anything is avialable in the Cragmoore neighborhood directly south of campus. It's an older, pretty chill area. Rockrimmon is nice but a bit more pricey I would imagine. Come check out the neighborhoods ahead of time if possible.

Aviod anything in the east/southeast part of town - it's a warzone down there lately. If you need any beta on where to climb when you get here, shoot me a message and I'll be glad to help out. There is a good climbing community here, you will like it.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
