Rock Climbing Photo: halfway up the hike to the south six shooter
I'm looking to move to BC in August sometime and was wondering if people had suggestions for places to live/work? I have a hook up for a job in Fernie but it would only be for the winter season. I would absolutely love to live in squamish but I've heard it's hard to find work there... and Vancouver is super expensive. Any information/suggestions from locals or people who know the province? Okanogan in the summer is pretty rad. Great climbing but toasty weather Alanna

Fernie is an awesome town, especially for skiing and mountain biking. Climbing is ok, some good crags about an hour away.

If I could live anywhere in BC it would probably be Golden. 1 hour from Rogers Pass for ski touring/mountaineering and alpine rock, 1 hour from the bugs, and 1 hour from the Bow Valley for ice and rock climbing. Couldn't tell you anything about the work situation though.
