Description

Monument is a peaceful little town just north of Colorado Springs. Get out of the heat of the cities, and enjoy the elevation and shade. The area is mostly ponderosa pine forest but has some amazing granite formations in the foothills west of town. Not very established, this area has lots of undiscovered potential for those looking to get wild.

Pikes Peak Brewery is a good local bar. O'Malleys Pub in Palmer Lake has good beer and some kick ass hot wings. Otherwise, La Casa Fiesta is the best restaurant in town.

Getting There

I-25 splits the town in half, the climbing is all west of I-25. The best car accessible routes are up Mt. Herman Road.
