This is a monster of a boulder, and the biggest in the area. It has some quality lines ranging from V3 - V8.

Getting There

If you can find the Mecca Boulder, you're sure to find this guy. If you're standing on the west face of the Mecca Boulder, continue to look west and you will see it - you have to be blind to miss it. It's about a hundred yards from the Mecca boulder.

This behemoth is called 'Moby Dick' and has several excellent problems on its east (facing the road) and west sides.

I'm very sure that "blubber" is not V6.... Bad name and very soft grade.

Ratings, especially for a small segment of climbing, will always be a subject of endless debate and/or disagreement. Ratings are useful at sub-fringe levels like V6 mainly for orienting climbers to problems that they might find entertaining. What's funny is that recently a V10-ish boulderer made an unsolicited comment to me suggesting that this very problem was HARDER! than V6. Regardless of the future consensus rating after numerous ascents, it's a sweet line on some of Unaweep's best sandstone(with a phat! name).
