BETA PHOTO: Punting at the crux.

Description

Meltdown climbs the heavily chalked line on the right, shorter side of the cliff. It's a few routes right of Shaggin Wagon.

This route is like a steeper version of Venus at Rumney. It's all about power-endurance. Thin holds just seem to keep coming and success depends on your ability to manage the pump. If you sit back and envision the perfect sport route, then you are probably thinking about Meltdown.

Protection

6 bolts

Such a good route.

Fun route. The first bolt is not clipped, but if you are working this route, clipping and moving past this shouldn't be a problem. The real crux is making the final move from the ledge.
