Description
Massacre Rocks State Park is a convenient bouldering destination with over one - hundred problems from V0-V10. The State Park has a $5 vehicle entrance fee and alternatively you can purchase a State Parks pass for $10 as an Idaho resident. The park also has camping and cabins. See link: parksandrecreation.idaho.go…
The area hosts short approaches and scenic views. Bouldering while not new to the area, is a growing user group. At this time the park has been welcoming and has not placed any restrictions on bouldering. This means we need to do our part. Walk on established trails to get to boulders. Respect area of rehabilitation. Avoid using tick marks. Brush them off if you make one. Leave no trace.
It is recommended to climb here in the off season for the park (summer,) it's too hot anyways. Fall and Spring are best, but if there isn't snow, a sunny day in the winter is great as well.
