Harder stuff is on the left with some small overhangs at the top. Toproping, good trees at the top for anchors. About 35 feet tall and 80 feet long. A break on the right leads to another wall. Difficulties range from 5.6 to 5.10 Possibly a bouldering traverse.

Getting There

Mt Tom trail walks right across the top. For the shortest walk, park at the Mt. Tom Road parking on the left by the stream, cross the road to the trailhead and walk north about 5 minutes.

One of the old lines here was called Football and Toast, but I don't remember if it was the roof crack or one of the scrap heap lines next to it. The roof crack was kind of tough, and a little nasty IMO. The moderates up the nicest part of the wall are pretty good and it is well worth throwing some TRs up off the pine trees above for somebody new to the game if you want to stay close to home. They probably run 5.7 to 5.9

Are you taking about this overhang (orange variation)? Photo: This has been done before. Just about every conceivable variation of every conceivable route has been done. This area was climbed a lot back in the 80s.

I've seen the crack between the orange and blue go but its a bit silly, kinda like a bouldering eliminate via top rope.

Not only has every line been climbed on the main wall but I've heard second hand that the Rhody Loadies used to do ropeless laps on just about every line on the main wall.

Hideous Spandex was more of an 80s thing, at least in RI, from what I remember. I started in the mid 80s and it was big then (I'm guessing influenced by Edlinger at first from late 70s). In the 70s it was probably more painter's pants and cut-offs.
