Description

Secluded granite bouldering. This has the highest concentration of boulders and established problems. Several good top ropes exist here as well. Season is spring through fall.

Getting There

Take the trail across from campsite 5 from the Horse Flats campground. Follow it and pass Romeo Void on your left. The trail will eventually lead you straight into a fabulous bouldering area. Probably a 5-15 minute brisk hike.

The Wave V1 5 California : Los Angeles Basin : ... : Blank Generation Boulder
Start at the bottom right of the problem. You'll see holds on the undercling. Work left. getting out from under the wave can be a little tricky. there's two "ok" holds up top. watch your swing. you'll want a good spotter on the boulder behind the wave to catch you if needed. the landing will be really bad if you fall. having someone there to pull you back to the other boulder is ideal. then throw a heel over the far left side and mantle over the top. the holds are good and you'll stick i...[more]   Browse More Classics in California

The reference boulder for this area could be the flaky boulder, east of the trail just past the clearing - it's home to the classic "B1 Traverse".
