Gate Buttress Area Recreational Lease: Climbs on Church Buttress above vault remain closed MORE INFO >>>

Description

Start for this route is the same as for Fallen Arches. After 10' move right and head up under-clings and side-pulls. Small cams to 2" and 3 bolts protect, you may be glad to have a shoulder sling up high (not to reduce rope drag though). The route finishes at chains above a short dihedral. Now you finally have a good reason to hike up to have a closer look at Fallen Arches. No crack climbing skills required.

Protection

Small cams to 2" and 3" and bolts. Bolted anchor.

Fun climbing. Pretty stout if compared to other 11c's in the canyon. A larger wingspan would help.

I agree with everything said above. It could also use more traffic -- the footholds are exfoliating. Really fun line with some bouldery moves.
