BETA PHOTO: The Lower Lower Cliff

100 feet below the Main Slab and 50 feet below the Lower Cliff, there is a relatively smooth, clear face that is about 40 ft tall and 70 feet wide. The main face has a prominent, 3 ft. right-facing corner, On the left side is a small, left-facing corner. The cliff is rarely climbed hence a bit dirty, but the rock quality is good. The area is well-shaded by trees.

Getting There

Walk down the climbers trail along the Right Side routes and continue down the gully another 150(?) ft. The crag will be on your right.

Climbing Season

BEWARE the loose horizontal as you boulder up past the ferny ledge. Follow the obvious large right-facing corner. You can stay left on the arete and face or stem up the corner....[more]   Browse More Classics in Connecticut
