BETA PHOTO: Lovin' You from the trail.

Description

Crisp laybacks lead to a crux before more laybacks lead you to the chains.

Michael and Rachel McGee have contributed a lot of lines to Rifle. I think this might be their best.

Location

This is on the Feline side of the Ice Caves about 40 yards to the left of Rachel's Route.

Protection

14 bolts to fixed anchors with lowering biners.

This route is terrific. A great addition and now one of my favorite 10a's in the canyon. Thanks for all the work to put this up. Surprisingly clean, really well bolted, and just plain fun. Do it!

Fun and long. Great warm-up or tick in itself.

It's useful to have four or five long draws to help straighten the rope line between the zig-zagging bolts. Also, for anyone who is not a confident 5.10 leader, it's good to be aware of a bolt in the crux that is kind of strenuous to clip, and the fall wouldn't be too pretty if you blew it with slack out. Good route, though.

This was our favorite 5.10 we did on our weeklong trip to Rifle. Thanks for putting in all the hard work on these new routes, it can't be easy!!!!!

Anyone know what the route left of Dirty White Boy is? It is really good and felt about 10d or 11a. Imagine it is another McGee creation. Excellent work on it.
