Gorgeous sport climbing area in Huaraz, only a fifteen minute drive from the Plaza de Armas.

More to come in August 2015 after further exploring!

Drive past the stadium and up the hills above the city look for a big and obvious rock cliff or ask the locals.

My apologies for totally slacking on this page. I wrote it and then forgot about it. There are at least 50 routes. If you go to the Casa de Guias in Huaraz they will for sure have information. Additionally, there is a great and brand new guidebook which is available at both the Cafe Andina and the California Cafe. Please PM me with any and all questions about Los Olivos, Hatun Machay, or the Quebrada Rurec. Happy to help.

Topos peru has some routes as well as the Huaraz climbing book everyone seems to be carrying down there.

The area is across a dirty river and lacks the nature feel of much of the region's climbing. However, its quick and fast to get to by taxi.
