1980's Tower under the bridge

Sunny with shady trees around it off the path but known by locals the area is in Lisbon, Ohio. I accidentally put this in another area in Ohio. Look there for guide online.

Getting There

Off the Highway Route 11 north or south depends on direction of departure. Take Lisbon, Roger exit. Follow all the way through town to the end before the bridge. Make a right and stay left till obvious pulloff next to river. Park and walk up left on bike trail and look for first walk off on right past fence follow to climbs.

Logtown was my home crag from 1975 through 1987 when I finally left Ohio for good. It is a great little crag (for Ohio) with a long history. I am adding all our old routes. I hear many have been "updated". That's cool. But my protection comments may be outdated.....

This is a nice little crag, especially considering it's location in eastern Ohio. The main area features numerous mid to high grade, but fairly short sport climbs. The entire main area can also be easily top roped and some moderate top rope only routes are found near The Pit at the south end of the main cliff. Top access to the main cliff is via a trail on the right (south) side of the formation near The Pit.

While much of the main area features relatively smooth quaried walls and challenging sport routes, the nearby Middle Cliff area features more natural rock surfaces and many low to mid grade routes. The natural features including numerous cracks and broken blocks make middle cliff a reasonable place for some short Trad climbs as well as top rope. However Middle Cliff is considerably less popular than the main area and tends to be more grown in and difficult to move about at. Logtown being fairly close to my home, and me being new to Trad, I actually hope to explore and help clean up the middle cliff area in the near future.

For tons of information about the Logtown climbing area and the available routes, check out the archived climbing guide. It is somewhat old, but still very useful and relvant.
