Description

Lizard Hunt is a small boulder with a featured, slightly overhung west face. The rock quality is very good and the landing is as well.

Getting There

It is located in the Southie Area. From the parking area, head downhill, cross East Creek, head up toward the Mecca Boulder on the dirt track, continue past the boulder about 50 yards, and then head uphill toward the cliff. Below the cliff, there is a foot path. Head in a southwesterly direction, and the boulder will be on the left. Upon reaching the Mothership Boulder, head directly east for about 20 yards. It is best to just look at the page map. It's tough to explain, this one is pretty far out there.

Venisonvision V4 6B  Colorado : Grand Junction Area : ... : Lizard Hunt Boulder
Venisonvision climbs a short, slight overhang by using a difficult pinch.Stand start with a left hand sidepull with a decent thumb-catch and a right hand sloping incut sidepull. From there, edge on the one good foot hold, pop up to a right hand pinch, reach a left hand sidepull, gain a jagged right hand pinch-edge at the lip, follow with the left to a great bump/depression, work the feet up, and finish up the remaining bumps....[more]   Browse More Classics in Colorado
