With all the new lite weight cams out there, what is the litest basic travel rack combination out there! #00 to #3 and set of nuts! I have been traveling with BD c4 and BD wires! I'm ready to lighten the load. I also have a couple sets of c4, set of master cams for sale, lol

I don't know what this litest shit is but I hear the new BD cams are pretty light.

If I climb on my partners I'll only get as high as their shoulders. I'd much rather climb on the rocks.

Pic please?

To answer OP. The way I understand it there's two ways. Ultralight C4s or UL Mastecams. You get one more Metolius cam with the Mastercams but more range with BD.... Or rack tricams, hexes and stoppers.

You could also invest in lighter draws.

I believe most of the new Ultralight Master Cams are lighter than the BD cams. Not by a lot though, 5-15 grams each. Might be good to get a set of one and doubles in the other for a really light double rack. Rack 'em on Nanos or FS Minis.

Edelrid 19g is the lightest full strength biner. I did the math one time and with a rack of doubles and 12 alpine draws if I were to replace all of my BD OZ biners I'd save around a 1/4 lb.

Since you are already used to the BD colors and sizes, I'd go with their UL cams.

I use BD, Metolius and DMM cams and rack them all with the BD/DMM color scheme.

Lose the shirt and you've got the savings of the bd ultralights for the win.
