Manley Creek Gully (aka "Canfield Cut") ...

Let's face it, we're climbers in the Midwest, and that means we need to be creative sometimes. I have felt for a while that Devil's Lake needs an area for the types of things that us Mid-westerners' come up with to keep ourselves entertained and motivated in the flatland.

So I propose that this should be the place to post the linkups, challenges, and other weird "route-ish" things that you come up with to keep yourelf entertained, motivated and/or train for the mountains.

Getting There

Follow the directions for Devil's Lake and then listen to the voices in your head.

James! I too have been thinking we need a place to post linkups and circuits! This is the place for our DL "Astro-Boy"!

I think this "area" should include either the word "linkup" or "circuit" in the title.

Also I have no problem with this "area" being arranged and rearranged as makes sense. My thought was simply to give a home to the things that just didn't seem to have one.

Great idea James. I can't wait to start adding to this. The West Bluff in particular is a big wide open canvas I am thinking...

This years goal, for me at least, lead 50 routes in a day!

Another one I have thought of which popped in my head when we first did the West bluff towers, was as many towers as possible in the park, east, west, & south! Go get it!!!

A description of the West bluff towers circuit would make a nice addition here. I'm thinking you could provide an overview, with links to individual routes pages?

I couldn't agree more Doug. I've been thinking the "Linkups" section should contain 4 subsections, "East Bluff" - "West Bluff" - "South Bluff" - "Multi Bluff". Thoughts?

Love it! And thanks for adding the South Bluff gullies. I can get a start on the West Bluff towers circuit. I've got a list with GPS coords.
