Lickmaster Block Rock Climbing
BETA PHOTO: Way up (Arete)
The Lickmaster Block has some really nice overhanging face climbs and stout crack project.
Note: As of 8/2010, the standard rappel tree at the edge of the main face is looking pretty suspect. The bolt anchors on top have not yet been replaced and although they appear solid, they are quite old. To get off this block, there are many trees that can be slung about 10-15 feet back from the edge.
From the approach trail, head right toward the main concentration of blocks. When you reach the corridor that leads to the campfire ring, head right. This block is located between the Mungo Jelly Block and the approach trail.

This crack has not yet seen a clean ascent, however it will go and can be done so on traditional pro. It's likely 5.12, and on the high side of the grade. Start at the base of the crack and undercling up to reach a variety of flared hands and finger locks. Reach the obvious bottle neck slot and follow the flared crack until it tapers. From here, find horizontals to the top. Beware, the large rock overhanging this route is not attached. Do not pull on it! ...[more] Browse More Classics in Pennsylvania
