Les Dalles de St-Anselme is where you come to practice your footwork. A few slabby routes can be found here. Even though these routes are slabby, they are well protected unlike typical slab routes. A new leader can therefore practice his newly acquired expertise in clipping bolts here as the proximity of bolts and the moderate grades make this cliff very user friendly.

Nota bene: Dalles means slab in french and St-Anselme is the area in Dieppe where the 3 route developpers of this crag come from.

Getting There

When you get to the main face, hike 5 minutes on the right. A rope will be installed soon to make the 20 feet of steep dampness easier to scramble up.

Climbing Season

For the New Brunswick area.

This is a very well protected sport climb and would be a great candidate for a first lead.In english, mangeur de bas means sock eater.
