Starting up the overhanging arete on Out of Sight ...

Description

This is the taller and more impressive portion of the crag that despite it's broken appearances offers a number of fun climbs on solid and highly featured granite.

Many of the climbs here are fairly new and see little traffic so don't be surprised if they seem a bit dirty.

Community Service 5.10a 6a 18 VI+ 18 E1 5a  California : San Bernardino Mountains : ... : Left Side
The lower portion of this route takes the right side of a recessed area using a fun combination of liebacks, jams and hidden holds up vertical rock and then kicks back to slab climbing higher to finish on a ledge with anchors. Despite the sport anchors in place it's recommended to rap off to save your rope. The climbing on this is so-so with some issues - the 4th bolt is in a loose block and the anchors are so low above the ledge it's guaranteed you'll thrash your rope lowering off. ...[more]   Browse More Classics in California
