Description

The left Highball Wall is the furthest wall from the point where you depart from the trail and walk down to the Highball Walls. the Left Highball Wall is set forward from the Center Wall, making a tall arete on its right side, and it then tapers down as it wraps around, eventually reaching the ground.
the Left Highball Wall is gently overhanging on its left sided, and then mostly vertical on its front face.
this wall is full of crimps and a few good ledges. the top of the wall is double tiered and makes for exciting top outs. as problems reach the top, the long upper ledge can be traversed, mantled upon and then stood on to top out once again.

Getting There

The left Highball Wall is the furthest wall from the point where you depart from the trail and walk down to the Highball Walls. once down off the trail, walk past all of the highball walls untill you pass a tall arete which starts the left highball wall, and begin curving around. once you see the end of the cliffs, you are also at the end of the left highball wall. the Left Highball Wall is set forward from the Center Wall, making a tall arete on its right side, and it then tapers down as it wraps around, eventually reaching the ground.

on the left-mid portion of the left highball wall is where you will find this problem. as the wall curves and trends back around to go back toward the uphill, look for a long diagonal sidepull. sit-start on that sidepull, and trend right and up through crimps untill you gain more diagonal crimp rails. past these crimps and rails, you want to climb into the high ledge, and then traverse over to the far right corner of the wall for a confidant top out....[more]   Browse More Classics in Virginia
