I'd really like to learn to bolt, and I want to do it right. Not just using a drill, but the whole process from start to finish. I don't have any friends that are developers, so I'm having trouble finding a way to learn.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me on how to get into this or, better yet, is anyone willing to take me out and teach me? I'm willing to do a lot of grunt work to gain these skills. Cleaning, trail building, you name it - I'll help you develop your area and take no credit for any of it.

Thanks!

We could go to indian creek and do some bolting, theres a lot of cracks there that could really use a few bolts so we don't have to buy so many expensive cams, in the meantime though if you know of any bolts or anchors that might need replacing at any of the crags in the PNW Id be glad to do some climbing and show you what i know, all i have is a hand drill though, it works, just not quickly jmbrower brower

I'd be glad to give you a bit of a tutorial. Send me a pm before you head up to Squamish next.

It's not the same as first hand experience but if you watch FixeHardware's entire 6 part series there is a LOT of information in them. They are not exciting but if you watched all 6 in order you would have a great base of knowledge to start with.

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Part 5

Please don't bolt crack lines. If you can climb it trad, it should never be bolted. GTD
