Have you signed up yet? We're putting together a really special event for you on Saturday, June 22 in beautiful Boulder, CO, and we don't want you to miss it. The day starts at the Boulder Rock Club with a continental breakfast and yoga. You'll spend the day climbing or hiking at your level of difficulty, and then learn something new at one of our fun outdoor skills clinics. Afterwards, head to the Summit Party at the historic Eldorado Springs Pool & Resort for dinner, drinks, silent auction, gear giveaway, and fundraising prizes. You may even win some amazing gear for being a top fundraiser! How cool is that?

We've just upgraded our on-line registration pages, and they have some slick new features to make your fundraising easier than ever. The new pages are more social media friendly so that you can let all of your friends and family know what you are up to. Our goal is to raise $60K this year. We need you on board, so put together a team today!

HERA's Climb4LifeSM Hang Time Happy Hour comes early this year: Saturday, April 27 in downtown Denver. Come celebrate the climbing season and kick off our event. For one night only, you can register for the Climb4Life at the ultra low price of $55. Bring friends to the Happy Hour and any $$$$ they donate that night can count towards your own fundraising goal. Get a sneak peek at the awesome gear our sponsors are providing, enjoy live acoustic music, free appetizers and wine, plus discounted food and drink specials for HERA only. Get to know some of our returning participants and give the newcomers a chance to see what a cool community we are. Join us for a night on the town at 1515 Restaurant (1515 Market) on April 27 at 7:00 pm. If you email us back we'll add you to our FB event page. Stay tuned for more details.

Why Do We Do It?

Because a woman's risk of getting ovarian cancer during her lifetime is about 1 in 72. With early detection about 94% will survive longer than 5 years after diagnosis, but currently, only 20% of ovarian cancer is caught early. There is no early detection test, and women need to be aware of the signs and symptoms. Please forward this email to your friends, family and colleagues who love the outdoors and want to make a difference in the fight against this deadly cancer!

Established in 2002, the mission of the HERA Women's Cancer Foundation is to stop the loss of women from ovarian cancer by promoting Health, Empowerment, Research, and Awareness. As a nationally recognized non-profit ovarian cancer organization, HERA provides funding for cutting-edge research grants to scientists at respected medical institutions. In so doing, HERA attracts more young researchers to expand the scientific understanding of ovarian cancer while improving the lives of those battling the disease. In addition, we award grants to local community groups to raise awareness about the disease in novel and unusual ways.

Of the funds raised through Climb4Life, 88% provides for our programs such as our Scientific Research Grants and our Community Grants.

Thanks for turning your passion into action! See you at C4L CO!
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
