Lanterne Rouge

Description

This route climbs interesting iron oxide features on a vertical to slightly less than vertical face.

Start in the crack to the left for the first few bolts. Move right to pass the roof on its right side and then pull huge holds to the finish.

Location

From where the approach trail meets the cliff hike left and up the small hill about 100 feet until you see a large dihdral. This route follows the line of bolts to the right of this dihedral.

Protection

9 Bolts to Chains

Good Climb. Holds on bottom and the top are likely to break off over time.

Starting holds up to second bolt stay wet but the top dries pretty quickly. Crux for my partner and me wasn't executing a move but finding the line to take about half way up the climb
