Overview of Lakeside Crag. Several routes (Five Fl...

This is a small crag facing Round Pond.... A great collection of crack climbs of different grades.... The best ones are Lakeside Jam (5.7), and China Dragon (5.10).... This cliff is often overlooked by the hoards of people at the upper and lower cliffs.... Top ropes are easily set from pine trees at the top of the cliff....

Getting There

From the Lower Slabs, walk right along the cliff picking up a trail leading along the marsh to Round Pond...After walking through some boulders and you can see the pond turn left and you are there....

The vertical line up the middle of the cliff.... Start on the twin cracks from the base, climb these to a good rest 10 to 15 feet off the ground.... Then, climb up and left to a ledge.... Rest again then up the offwidth to the finish.... The top is wide, so bring a big cam, run it out, or just top rope it....Very fun if you know how to jam...hard if you don't.......[more]   Browse More Classics in New Hampshire
