Description

If you have ever been out fishing in Mills Lacs you will know this is an extremely remote link of lakes. This large granite face rises directly out of the water. At about 50', this free climb can be intimidating, with a drop into water that is anywhere from 10-15 feet deep at the base. This climb is about a 30 minutes boat ride from Pine Point Resort and is very secluded

Getting There

Boat. The only way this climb is accessible is by a 30 minute boat ride from the Pine Point Resort. I would reccommend showing this map to the resort owner of either PPR or Thunderbird Resort on the lake.

Once you come upon the face you will want to start on the far left side of the wall. Work your way up and either go right over the dome at the top or work right and go up the side of the dome. The crux of the route is the dome at the end. The lower section is technically but stable. The crux has two options of a small crimp and traverse around the right side of the dome or a committing move to a small crimp over the top of the dome. To get back to the boat, either jump into the water and swim (n...[more]   Browse More Classics in International
