Description

This area is perfect for the rather warm weather of Oaxaca, you can climb all day long in the shade. It has about 12 sports climbing routes, the harder routes are high quality. All routes are very well bolted and with a two bolt anchor and chains. Many times you will also find draws hanging in the harder routes. Most of the routes are steep, but at the far left one can find smaller routes less steep to warm up on.

Getting There

The area is located close by San Sebastian.

From Oaxaca city driving towards Santa María del Tule on Highway 190: turn right on Calle Camino Del Tarrastro. Drive as far as you can (perhaps a bit onto a dirty road, before a little bridge) and park in a reasonable spot. Walk the rest of the dirt road, pass the little bridge, continue on the road that goes right and then left below the highway to get to the trail head. From the trail head follow small trails towards the obvious rock you see towards the South-West. It should take about 20 min.
