The Diamant section of La Joux

Mostly short, slabby sport routes near the village of La Joux. South facing, but plenty of shade and a nice bubbling brook nearby.

La Joux means "the forest" in the Savoy dialect, and with great views of Mont Blanc, an easy approach, and climbs for every difficulty, this is a good place for families.

Getting There

From the train stop, head up the hill toward the village, then turn right down a dirt road. Follow the trail signs to get on the Petit Balcon Sud and follow it northeast to an intersection with a trail sign for climbing on the left. (10 minutes from the village)

If you take the train here (which is easy), note that they only stop on request!
