The book calls this a 5.8 face climb. The face is harder than 5.8 and there is a nice finger crack in corner to the right. So, slab start, up crack in corner,a few face moves to anchors? Was wondering if I was on the right route.

Located at the "toe" of the buttress. Last route on left before steep pumice slope, by itself.

I found 8 bolts(book says 6).

Fun climb. It just didn't match up with book description. Anyone know what's up with this one?

Fun and worth doing. We enjoyed staying in the hand crack in the corner, too.

I found the bottom section, going directly to the first bolt, the most difficult (more like 10a/b). Some people traverse in from the right, but that looked a little loose. The rest was fun. The book describes it as a dihedral. While there is a dihedral in the middle of the route, I would suggest something like: face to crack inside a dihedral to more face climbing. Overall, a pretty good route.
