Not many tufas on this wall but still great climbi...

Description

A large area of yellow limestone, an obvious wall as seen from Massouri, to the right of the Grande Grotta. The climbing is mostly vertical, providing for excellent technical climbing that will hone in your footwork. The wall gets steeper above where some of the harder pitches reside, with plenty of room for more development. A few moderate multi-pitch climbs are on the left side of the wall.

Getting There

Above the shops around Climber's Nest and Mike's bikes, follow the step concrete for just a bit then up the mellow trail marked with red paint dots. Take a left before you hit the cliff to follow this trail to the base of Kalydna

Skip draws and make significant use of slings for this extension that makes a big 'S'. Sling the 1st pitch anchors and crank yourself through the crimpy crux and into the no-hands rest at the start of the crack/depression. A little bit of cruiser climbing and keep your wits about you for the final hard section way up at the anchors....[more]   Browse More Classics in International
