BETA PHOTO: Showing the top 2/3 of the flow. Feb 2014.
Mostly 2+ with some WI3 moves at the top. There are basically 3 sections. A 3- section to the top of the first tier (past the tree with a double trunk). Then a series of WI2 flows leading to the last third which is solid WI3 for maybe 12-15 feet. Careful at the top out as you'll run out of ice and need to move through steep dirt/rock/mud before you find a sturdy belay tree.
From the road follow the trail towards the Kaaterskill Falls. About 2/3 to the main falls, you'll see the long, solitary flow on the left hand side across the creek. It's marked by a tree with a double trunk 1/3 up the route on the right.
Can be led with 5 or 6 screws. Top rope is possible with a 60m rope -- scramble up the steep slope to the climber's right -- careful as you make your way across the top as it is VERY steep and the footing is poor.
