BETA PHOTO: The starting matched rail of Japanese Cowboy. The ...

Description

Start matched on a high sloping rail with a good left foot. Continue up and right along the rail to some deeper incuts and decent feet. Punch right to a lower crimp, then continue right to a jug flake. Top out from the flake.

(The jug flake flexed on me when I did it - didn't feel like the flake will be there for forever, and if it goes you'll fall on the fallen logs below.)

There is another V5 variation that exits directly upwards after the deeper incut section of the rail.

Location

On the SE face of The Hydra boulder. Descend to the north, jumping from the Hydra boulder to a smaller boulder, then down a tree.

Protection

Some pads and spotter(s) around the last leg of the problem where you start to get a little higher and the fall gets a little gnarlier.
