Jailbreak Rock Rock Climbing
BETA PHOTO: First cluster of small boulders at top of hill
A cluster of rocks with routes that mostly face west. Surrounding trees provide ample shade throughout the day. If anyone knows more info about this area please post info. A fun place to explore with a great view of the south. Definitely good bouldering here, also trad options ranging up to 25-30 feet. Many routes can be set up for TR using gear and static line. Rock quality is solid just like other Keller Peak locations.
34.205850, -117.072207 latitude/longitude for the parking area. Once you pull off highway 18 onto keller peak road, drive exactly 1.3 miles to a dirt pullout on left side of road, there is parking space enough for several cars. Approach is about 5 minutes. Walk over the road (heading south) heading up a small hill which veers slightly left. There is a wash/trail that is fairly obvious looking. Once at the top of the hill veer right (South/West) and you will start to see small boulders which then leads to a more obvious and larger rock section, this is slightly downhill if you are standing at the top of the hill. Enjoy the nature and solitude.
