Better known for its canoe waters, this area lacks major climbing destinations. But it is not entirely devoid of possibility: slabs and small crags poke up through the wilderness, adding variety to canoe camping or backpacking trips. Many of these require extensive paddling or long hikes to reach.

Getting There

Route 30 is the main highway running up the eastern edge of this region. Route 3 runs along the Northern boundary. No major (or minor!) roads breach the central area.
