Steep, wide crack on left side of the corner left of Battered Sandwich.

Just left of Battered Sandwich.

This is not the highly vegetated, low-angle corner. Stay just left of this corner, on the steeper wall.

Cams, from hand to fist.

Does this route include the crack with the Tree growing out of it? climb around said tree? we were up there yesterday curious about this line and the other very vegetative crack in between the tree and battered sand...

It may have a small tree, I don't recall. But it is not that highly vegetated corner.

At the start, you can use that vegetated corner, but Istanbul stays on the crack on the left, steeper wall.

All that vegetation ought to be removed...

This is what I thought was Istanbul?

In which case the left crack/Istanbul has a large tree not-growing (ie dead) out of it.

Oh yes, the snag. The snag that refuses to grow.

Thanks for the photo.

Somebody can win the route-cleaning prize of the year by transforming the vegetated corner into a route. I remember Darryl Cramer talking about it years ago. Perhaps a Kick-starter campaign is needed....

Someone cleaned this really good. Fun addition to a great little crag. This can be TRd from the battered sandwich anchor. Getting to the battered sandwich anchors while in lead was a bit sketchy. Now that it's clean it needs its own anchor.

I top roped this line last year and that snag looks like a log that dropped into the crack from above, you can move it around easily, and removing it entirely might not be all that difficult, some spotters down below would be mandatory though.
