Is there snow at whitehorse?

I'm in the Gunks and we are bone dry hows Whitehorse?

Probably not much anymore. Left northern VT this morning and it was disappearing very quickly.....BUT, Whitehorse may drip for a long while

Are you looking to ski or rock climb? The slabs are occasionally skied, albeit not this year.

The South Butt is climbable, although cracks can be full of ice and there can be a good deal of water seepage. There are better places to find winter rock.

Bear Notch Rd in NH Bill (since I think you're up in NH)? There may be snow way up in the notch higher but there's certainly nothing skiable low. I walked the tracks at Willard yesterday and except for patches no snow. Walk off Willard down trail after climbing was all ice. So even if there's snow it's not very good!

Chris, thanks for the advice. I was looking to XC at Bear Notch. Sorry, the thread drift got you thinking I wanted to ski Whitehorse. That sounds like something Dave Schlutz would do :)

Thanks Mark! Well that's poopy. Yes I am in Glen NH. We went to the North End yesterday. I thought I was a superstar climber.. Til the top out. Yikes! Still any day my wife has a good time out is a win to me.

Bill,,you MIGHT get some snow at Sawyer rd. maybe. Or parts of jefferson ?

Mark, haha.. her family is coming up and they'll get into something. I'll be with Grammy on Friday, Ice Fest Saturday. We should both be happy. Now if I could only get motivated to play out in the sleet today... Meh, think I'll get a haircut.

...head to Willard Bill. Plenty of fat ice yesterday. Sure there will be some left after the shit weather. And lines to get up what's in! Enjoy your time here...

Thanks again Mark. I think by the time I'll be on my own the ice will be in good shape. The forecast looks great next week. If not, Chris will get some more of my easy earned money :) Too many peoples lively hoods depend on me to risk it.
