Looking to go overseas for a 2-4 week trip late March 2015 to late April 2015. Dates are very flexible at this point.

Spain, Thailand, Australia, Greece, or Rocklands are all options at this point.

Looking to mainly sport climb or boulder. I can climb trad but do not lead.

Leading low 12s, bouldering V3-V5.

If you are seriously interested please contact me and we can discuss further.

I'm a sport climber, leading 11's, and living in Sicily. I'm willing to travel around the Mediterranean.

Can anyone point me in the direction of where the best climbing is during April?

Paul-what recommendations would you have?

What about southern France, Provence area where Lynn hill lived. Tons of limestone sport there.

I've been to sport crags all over Sicily. If you just wanna do a short stay, I'd like to suggest Trapani, Sicily. Sport, multipitch, good vacation scenery, nice people (it's a vacationing get-away, people are in a good mood!) Look up El Bahira.

Damn! I posted up looking for a partner in Spain in late March and found nothing....now I changed the trip a bit. If you happen to be over in Italy I'll be there March 11-15 trying to climb. If you end up staying a while I'll be back in June and down for any country.
Good luck!

Paul I PM'ed you a week or so ago seeing if you were interested in Finale Ligure or Gran Paradiso.

Ah, well, the problem with that is I don't check my e-mail religiously. I've been saving military leave to visit a girlfriend in the states, but just broke the cold, hard truth to her that I really don't wanna leave Europe to come back to the states to visit with my precious leave days. I'm worried that with only two years being here (that I know for the time being) I'll leave here feeling empty, that I could've done more. I feel bad that I've denied you a good belay and strong, bold leader when you could've had it (you're not alone, I've denied myself the travel to awesome places that I'm now close to, compared to being in America.) I've heard great things about Finale Ligure. I you wanna spark some plans, I'll defer to my e-mail for this topic. March 11-15? Yea, I'm interested!

I'll be in Greece starting next week and dying to find a partner to climb in the Meteora area (or anywhere else). I'm backpacking my way to Siberia so have total freedom in my timetable. I'll also be in Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Turkey, etc. after that. Get in touch with me if any of you can hop over to Greece for a few days of good climbing in the next week or two! Sport up to 9/10 lead or 10/11 follow, V1-V5 boulder, and I'll follow trad. I just like to be outside with great people!

Hey Paul Hutton - I'll be in Sicily first week in July, any chance you'd be down to climb something?

I found a vacation package on theclymb.com for climbing in Spain during the month of April. I'm lookin' into that! 8 days minimum of vacation with guides, food cooked that you buy from the store, camping all included in a $425 fee!

Edit: As of now, the only commitment I have is on March 12th. From then on to the following sunday, I'll make every effort to be where we're talkin' about!

Awesome - I'm in town between a gig in Vienna and a go at the Matterhorn, visiting family in Trapini first week of July. I'll send you a note when it gets closer - stoked to check out your local scene.

Hey Paul,
Still have a commitment on the 12th?? I was gonna see if you were interested in flying into Genoa on the 11th and I'd pick you up ($130 from Catania). I may have to take off Saturday the 14th but I figured we could climb 3 days at Finale Ligure. Keep me posted

Dude, if that wasn't the day I could take the test for military E-5, I'd be all in! If I can still get a day or 1.5 of climbing with ya, I'll come out. There may be someone else there that you can turn over with, and I can also hike around and enjoy a part of Italy I haven't been to before.

The original poster cancelled what she originally set out to do. She ain't chimin' in anymore. Trapani is a GREAT place to visit! Very exotic, surreal scenery. I have a guide book that covers it. There's a campground there that's exclusive to climbers with an awesome crag just a short 50 yard walk away. I've been there a couple times, but haven't climbed outside the campground, called "El Bahira". And there's plenty of climbing outside of El Bahira! You may know more than I do about Trapani, since you've got family there that you're planning to see. I need a reason to travel all the way across the island, besides hoping I'll have someone to partner up with once I'm there! I jotted down your prospective plan--to be there during the first week of July. Perhaps I can fly over and we can share a rental car, or whatever transportation you intend to use. It'd be a huge relief for MY old car!

Hey I just found out that the sky diving drop zone I've been taking lessons at is having a course that starts on the 14th. I paid a lot of money, and haven't been able to complete my course, due to long waits to load up in the plane and foul weather. If I can get signed up for this course, I'm gonna have to bail on ya. I'll keep you informed.

Update: The guy who runs the skydive drop zone just told me he's aaallll booked up. Looks like I'll probably be coming out that way!
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
