My son and I are going to be passing through the midwest this July on our quest to climb in all 50 states... Can anyone recommend the best place to go in Indiana for a day of climbing? Preferably leading (sport or trad), but bouldering or top-roping would be ok, too.

As far as I know, the only two places to climb in Indiana are Muscatatuck Park and Unlikely Wall. If you're looking for bouldering go to Muscatatuck, if you're looking for sport/top rope go to Unlikely!

There is much more climbing in this state than one would expect, but it tends to be incredibly loose, very short, and have horrible access (I've been threatened with guns by hick landowners). If you're trying to climb in all 50 states, I would stick to Muscatatuck or Unlikely. Any of the other areas simply aren't worth the effort.

Hello fellows,

I would like to see slightly more traffic at the best crag in the state! Unfortunately can't post location to MP due it being a discontinuous part of the harrison crawford state forest. Hint#-It's an ohio river cliff crag follow the barn owl or message me. Two PHOTOS under HEMLOCK CLIFFS. 30-40 ft td and top rope face climbing. Never been to muscatatuk but it looks like a waste of time.
