In Englewood for a day - looking for a good hike.

I'm going to be in CO in March for work and will have 1 day to kill. I will be with a beginning hiker. Staying in Englewood and looking for a nearby area to go for a hike. 4-5 mile round trip tops and nothing over 10k as will not have much time to acclimate. Easy to moderate hiking. The drive up has to be relatively accommodating as I will have a 30 foot box truck - haha - sometimes you have to make due with what you are given.

Any and all recommendations are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Castlewood Canyon State Park has some nice easy hikes that are in your mileage range. Pretty down there too. Never very crowded. There's a trail map on their website and plenty of photos here too.

From Englewood you'll need to expect 30 to 45 minute drive to get to any hiking.

You could check out Deer Creek canyon. It is South West of Engelwood

Castlewood is the most obvious choice; Roxborough State Park, Red Rock Ampitheater/Morrison. You could also hike some flat boring stuff like Daniels Park or the Highline Canal. This is my stomping grounds, Castlewood is the best choice for staying close to the South Metro area, the area around Red Rocks 2nd. If you go to CWood, bring some bouldering gear as you will pass many good boulders. Hit me up for more detailed suggestions when you get closer

+1 for Castlewood Canyon State Park

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
