Description Suggest change

This is a beautiful area near the popular Ice Lakes Basin. The rock type is Telluride Conglomerate and is generally solid. There are about 20 routes in the area to date. The wall gets afternoon shade, and due to its high elevation can offer quite cool temps. Bring some clothes.

Getting There Suggest change

From the South Mineral Creek road, take a right on the Clear Lake Road. Follow it to the first switchback and park. Take the trail past the waterfall and join the main Ice Lakes Trail. Follow this trail through the large meadows. When you start heading up a steep trail through old growth woods, take note of the switchbacks. At the third switchback, keep going straight on a faint trail over some logs. Then head uphill through a clearing to a faint trail that traverses across above a gorge. Continue on this trail til you hit the old Hardrock Trail that crosses the creek. Keep going til you are out of the trees in a open meadow, the crag will be obvious above you. Look for a cairned trail near the edge of the trees.
