I would be so stoked to find an aid climbing mentor!

I have big dreams of climbing Moonlight Buttress or even El Cap one day and I'm looking for someone to show me that those goals aren't as far out of reach as I currently feel that they are.

I currently lead sport around 5.11a and have led up to 5.10c trad.

I am living near Salt Lake City Utah.

Anyone in the area who wouldn't mind dragging me up some basic aid routes (Wonderwall on Lone Peak?) should hit me up! I would be eternally grateful.

What you really need is someone who is willing to belay you, and if your really determined, try a little rope solo aid. When I started 50 years ago, there were no books on the subject and I pretty much taught myself, with an occasional partner, who was patient.
Within a few years, I was doing routes on El Cap, and elsewhere. It really depends on your motivation. I used to say doing big walls is just a lot of work.
At least today, with the use of cams, you will not be attracting a lot of attention, since you won't be pounding pins in, at your local crag.

Good Luck!
