Start up the ramp / water runnel dihedral. Crux around the 4th - 5th bolt. Either stay right of the bolts and pull the bulge via lieback crack or step left onto the face (maybe easier). Continue up the crack / water runnel on fun and easier climbing to the anchor. The rock quality is a little better than the two routes to the left (and so is the climbing)....[more]   Browse More Classics in International

Huaraz is the climbing capitol of Peru and a super cool town nestled at the base of some of the most spectacular mountains in the world. From the above description I'd think it was a lame bouldering area full of ornery cows. Also, when I think of picturesque, hell isn't the first place that comes to mind.

No doubt, Kurt. The above description definitely doesn't do the place justice. Huaraz is THE hub for trekking, mountaineering and climbing in the Cordillera Blanca, Negra, and Huayhuash. Ridiculously sick mountains all around Huaraz but be clear, Watch out for those Cows!
