how to pull the FILFLEX part out??

Hi, just bought a vasak leverlock crampon that come with FILFLEX. i want to change it to FIL as my boot have a toe welts, but i can't pull the FILFLEX part out. Should i just use a screwdriver and push it out by force? thanks.

Pulling a sling on it works best for me. Wear gloves just in case the thing comes flying up.
