These crags are located inside Joshua Tree Nat. Park, and are behind the hospital in Joshua Tree, off the main hwy. There are a number of climbs that have been done around this neighborhood. Here are a few of them.

1. Gordon Branch (5.10-) *  Crack that faces the Hwy.

2. All in the Family (5.10b/c ) **  Hands over a roof to bolted face 2 bolt anchor.

3. Early Retirement (5.8)* bolts on a slab buttress to 2 bolt anchor.

4. Burkuleese (5.8)  Crack located to the left of Early Retirement.

  • All in the family, Early Retirement, and Burkuleese all face West.

Getting There Suggest change

Drive East past the town of Joshua Tree for a mile or two until you come to the hospital (on the right). A bit further down the road, you will see some crags off to the right. These are the Hospital Crags. Drive over to them, park, and hike over to them.
