A small formation with routes (21 total) on every side. Difficulties range from Saxon grade IV to VIIIa, which is roughly 5.4 through 5.10a.

Getting There

Either park east of Wehlen and follow that description, or park at the Stille Gründe GPS coordinates and hike along the Fremdenweg in the direction from which you drove. Take the left into Hirschgrund and continue downhill. This will be the last formation on your left before it goes steeply downhill, and you'll see a path leading up left to access it as well as other peaks.

Climbing Season

For the Germany area.

Without stopping, this route is 40m long. You can break it into two pitches if you like.Repel back to the stance where Emporkante begins and walk the rest of the way down (don't repel from a tree)....[more]   Browse More Classics in International
