Description

Although this area's name seems to allude to some covert or hard to find place, but it's actually very easy to find and just a short distance away from the parking area. It gets is name due to the fact that you cannot see it at all from the trail as you walk toward it or from the parking area... but now you know...
The Hidden Highball Wall is from about 12 feet high at the tapered end to 30 feet at the high points. The Wall is vertical to slightly overhung and has flat faces, featured, and two arete type climbs. the holds are crimpy and some have good ledges. the landing is flat and clear of obstructions so that boosts confidence while scaling the heights.

Getting There

from the parking area, walk straight down the bike trail for a very short distance. look for a oddly perched boulder to the right of the trail. leave the trail to the right and walk down, and behind the boulder. this is the Hidden Highball Wall. it extends and wraps past what you can see from below the small upper boulder.

Lindley's Line V3 6A  Virginia : Grayson Highlands State Par... : ... : Center Highball Wall
This problem's namesake is dedicated to the enduring memory of William Lindley: interesting, genuinely kind, intelligent, and adventurous William was an instant friend to all he met. Adventurous, committing, remote, grandiose and surrounded by the splendor of nature's beauty, I know well that William would appreciate the adventure involved in climbing this line.In the middle of the tall face, search for the low, diagonal, incut, jugg...[more]   Browse More Classics in Virginia
