Heavenly Buttress Rock Climbing
North Facing wall with a wide variety of routes. The highest concentration of trad lines are found here, and a couple really good 5.12s.
A good warm season destination. In the summer, the left side of the wall is in the sun until maybe 10:30am. Also, the far right side of the wall goes into the sun in late afternoon. In the shoulder season, very little sun on this wall.
This is the north facing buttress directly in front of you as you hike up the canyon bottom.

Fun, balancy climbing that will challenge your ability to commit to movement. One can avoid the crux moves by traversing far right after clipping the 5th bolt, but that's no fun....[more] Browse More Classics in New Mexico
