Description

Start on some sketch crunchy holds and climb up to find better holds and a hidden fixed pin. Final moves make the lower section worth it.

Location

30 feet downstream from Bombs Away and across the riverbed. Look for the lower fixed pin.

Protection

Fixed pins, 1-bolt, and standard rack. Natural Anchor

History

"Headbanger was named for a rappeller who took a very long crunching ground fall in the Forty Foot Hole area while climbers were drilling bolts on Bombs Away. He thought he could get back to the top without a rope. He bounced twice, and the Fort Sill helicopter team enjoyed the "live-one" practice." - Chuck Lohn
