BETA PHOTO: Is this "Central Scrutinizer"?

These are tucked away in suburban Melrose. There are a handful of small cliffs.

Getting There

Park at the end of Beacon Street or Prescott Street in Melrose (use a map or GPS to get to these streets). Walk into the woods to a vantage point, and follow a trail down that trends to the left. The main cliff (Hard Knox Rocks) will be on your right.

The route/problem Central Scrutinizer is listed here in Boston Rocks, and I've been climbing what I think is it, but I'm not 100% sure. Anyone have info on this route? I'll attach a pic too.

There are a handful of fantastic, high, scary problems at the main cliff. Bullet hard stone, easy access, and in the middle of a huge population center. Get of they gym! Get on some rock!

Hard to tell from that blown out cell phone pic, but it looks like it. Goes up the middle of a slightly overhanging face on slopey holds and edges. There is a single bolt on top.

Thanks, BC. Yes, you describe the climb I've been working on. Haven't had the balls to do it rope free....

I added a better pic and improved the description. Someone else should be working this line. It deserves attention!
