Description

This route was bolted ground-up with a hand drill. It may have been soloed in the past as it is not very hard and you can walk right up to it. Our apologies if we bolted your old line. On a positive note, now anyone can enjoy it! 5.6 move to a good stance, over and over, all the way to the top.

Location

This route is on the big right leaning boulder at the bottom of the pile, a little ways left of the other "Ghosts" formations. It doesn't require any scrambling to get to. It's right next to "The Rabbit Hole Project" if you know where that is. There is a nice little V-easy boulder 15 feet in front of it.

Protection

Five stainless steel bolts to a two bolt, ring anchor. (not a typical "lower off" anchor)

My wife and I both led this last weekend (3-26-16) and thought it was fun. It keeps your attention since it traverses the whole way. Probably scarier for the follower than the leader.- our third followed my wife's lead. Bolts all looked good and were all solid - as was the anchor. A lot of hard work went into this. I know because I drill by hand at Pinnacles. Thanks guys!

Seth & Kevin...Thank you for the new route. Nice job. Seth...what do you mean "not a typical lower off anchor?" No hidden agenda, criticism, mocking, or ridicule intended...just curious.

Thanks everybody! Ben, we just didn't have any of the mussy hooks that are typical of sierra east-side anchors so it's a couple of plain old single ring hangers up top...
