Description

This is boulder is located in a gully near the Mushroom Boulder (just West of it). It is nestled at the bottom of the valley/wash gully near a project highball.

The boulder is easy and fun which is hard to come by in the canyon. It is really worth going to if you are in a group that is headed to the Mushroom boulder. The rock quality is very gritty and the climb has pockets, crimps and slopers that are of very good quality.

Getting There

Hike through the main trail past the Johnny Boulder, past The Short Stuff Boulder and the Dungeon, past Oreo boulder to the trail that leads back to the Mushroom Boulder. If you end up at the Mushroom bolder you have past it, move West over the small ridge and locate the huge wheel shaped boulder(project). The Hammerhead is located just South of this boulder.
